What is strange about it? Hey its a M109, EARLY mod. I believe the A1s and up had the longer 155s.

The 155mm howitzer had a double-baffle muzzle brake, and a stubby bore evacuator. Nothing strange.

It's an old M109G (G for Germany),in service with Belgian army and in the past with German and Italian army,now Italy have M109L (it have a new 155mm gun) and Germany Pzh 2000.
