Police have smashed a global terror plot by white supremacists aimed at poisoning ethnic minorities with the deadly poison ricin.
They discovered the lethal toxin in a sealed jam jar after a six month investigation ended with dawn raids on two properties in County Durham.
Two men were arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 and were yesterday being quizzed by officers over their involvement in a worldwide plot.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1191148/Police-smash-global-plot-poison-non-whites-lethal-toxin.htmlok its from the Mail so beat me on it but it was the closest link to click. Looks like the freaks are playing with more than petrol and bricks these days.

I'm not an expert on Ricin but I thought it was only lethal if it entered the bloodstream.

"Ricin is poisonous if inhaled (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inhalation), injected (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Injection_%28medicine%29), or ingested (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingestion), acting as a toxin by the inhibition of protein synthesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_biosynthesis). There is no known antidote (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antidote)."

Ok, so how were these douchebags going to get ethnic minorities to eat the required amount of chocolate-covered castor beans? What was their deployment plan?

1978 assassination of Georgi Markov
On 07SEP78 the Bulgarian Diplomat Georgi Markov was stabbed in the leg in public on Waterloo Bridge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterloo_Bridge) in the middle of London (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London) by a man using a weapon built into an umbrella (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbrella). The weapon embedded a small pellet in Markov's leg which contained ricin. Markov died four days later

Ah yeah, that's the incident I was thinking of when I first read this.

Could we reroute the evidence and a few needles to Westminster?
I can see a months detention without trial for that comment...

They're going to stab people with umbrellas?
Like the Penguin (http://www.granitegrok.com/pix/The%20Penguin.jpg)?
Handing out free chocolate-covered castor beans and then making a run for it sounds more likely, YMMV.

Okay - From the article I understand that there are two (!) neonazi retards, a dude named ian and his inbred son, living in Burnopfield (!), who got bored with watching Big Brother and spending their welfare check on cheep cigarettes and booze, and therefor decided to go and try poison some people with a different skin-colour.
Thatīs not cool, but when I hear "GLOBAL TERRORIST PLOT!!!1!" I would somehow think of something a tad more sophisticated...

Welcome to the internet sir! For your viewing pleasure, I would recommend Youtube for instructions on common explosives such as mercury of fulminate, TATP, or much more simple ANFO. Should you have the intelligence surpassing that of a 9yr old you can also successfully find detailed instructions on various bio-engineering products such as Ricin, Anthrax, or Brucellosis.
Should you need mentors feel free to drop by the popular hub 4chan and petition for assistance there.
Once again sir, welcome to the internet.

I would somehow think of something a tad more sophisticated...No mention of inbreeding or unemployment in the article and why do some people insist on dumbing down extremists. KISS also applies to terrorists, 9/11 was an example of KISS why should we expect a Sum of All Fears type event.

When your talking about Terrorists and creativity in their plots, you have to remember not many of these people have a college education nor much of an education at all. So, I wouldn't expect much out of many of these groups in terms of elaborate plots. I mean it's not like there's a terrorist college in which someone can learn how to make a dirty bomb or the proper methods in carrying out an insurgency.

I guess a better word would be skill level. As in their skill level doesn't allow them to go into more elaborate plots.

Step away from that one, too. Wielding a box cutter or hauling a tank of ammonium nitrate into a parking garage ain't "high skill level," either. That's not the point. Of course they're yokels, that does not mean they have to do something "elaborate" like turn coeds into gold or throw top hats with razor brims.

Pair questioned over ricin find (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/wear/8086701.stm)
BBC News

A father and son are being questioned by anti-terrorism officers following the discovery of the poison ricin at a house in County Durham.
The find is connected to a police inquiry into alleged extreme right-wing activity.
Ian Davison, 41, and his son, Nicky, 18, were arrested on Tuesday in raids at their homes in County Durham.
The ricin, said to be 6,000 times more toxic than cyanide, will be analysed at the Porton Down government laboratory.
Police have halted their search of Mr Davison's home in Myrtle Grove, Burnopfield, until tests on the substance, found in a sealed jam jar, have been completed.
The former pub DJ's son was detained at his home in Annfield Plain on suspicion of inciting racial hatred but is now also being held under the Terrorism Act.
It is understood his father is being questioned by Durham officers and the North East Counter Terrorism Unit at a police station in West Yorkshire.
Assistant Chief Constable Michael Barton, of West Yorkshire Police, said the poison had been kept in a kitchen cupboard "apparently for up to two years".
Initial testing took place on Thursday at a government facility in Edinburgh.
Mr Barton said it would now be taken to the Ministry of Defence labs at Porton Down, adding: "That transfer will take place under a police or military escort and their report should be finalised in the next few days."
He said the advice of scientists was taken before deciding there was no need to evacuate immediate neighbours of the property.
"I would again like to reassure people in Burnopfield that the substance found was sealed in an airtight container prior to its removal.
"As such no one is believed to have been exposed to the substance or be at risk of any potential ill-effects. We do not believe that there is any risk to public health," he said.
