Because it would be really fun to play with if you could find a safe place to use it. Personally if I looked out the windowq of my home and saw I guy using a falmethrower in the middle of my street I might feel the need to call the police or get my gun.

I live in Kentucky... whether he is born here or moved, regardless of age, I think every Kentucky male has either made or shot a potato gun...

The last one we made had them out to 500 yards. Now that I have a digital camera and a forum to share my lunacy with I may just have to build another one.

Best I've done was mini-trebuchet out of a boxspring, 2x4, 3/4 inch round stock and a pair of roller blades.

To wipe out bunkers, of course. So what if a civilian doesn't "need" a flamethrower, he doesn't "need" television or the internet for that matter, but you have it anyway.

This kid is an accident waiting to happen, but to run around flailing hands and banning flamethrowers because some kid build one in his garage is exactly how we in the US get dog-turd laws passed that do nothing but make criminals out of law abiding citizens, usually without them even knowing it.

Well, it was a bit of a bitch but it scared the hell out of people I knew... I took two model rockets, for the people who will know waht the hell I am going to talk about, you'll like this.

The rocket I was going to 'blow up'... was a somewhat large model rocket that is about 5 pounds with a C Engine. I hooked fishing-wire on it and let loose about 1500 meters (took like 5 rolls of it).

I took the other rocket, rigged it with 5 D-Rocket Engines... Looped the fish-wire though the little holes that would guide the rocket during launch, only differents is the fact that the fish-wire is gonna guide this son bitch. Set this **** up, made sure the wire is tide-down (on a tree in my case).

I called my friend on his cellphone and he'd launch the rocket, after his launch, i would wait a few seconds before launching mine... and when I did, my ****ing son bitch rocket flew up faster as hell. Took about 6-10 seconds for my rocket it ding the other rocket, millions of pieces of model rocket started raining down... :-D

We ran like hell, cops showed up and we said "Yea, we would something, it came from that way."

Me and my freinds used to make shoulder fired rocket launchers out of model rockets when we were younger. Not reall accurate but fun as hell to launch. p-)
