MSNBC needed an asshat to show up to keep their ego in check. As FOX is for the right, MSNBC is for the left. They are both awful news networks.

Yea but if you were to take this footage, and switch roles....
Exact same situation but instead if the network was fox and the ziegler was a lefty, everyone on here would be calling him the asshole.

Don't get me wrong, objective reporting has been dead for years.....

During the bush years fox was the mouthpiece for the administration and it's values, now with Obama MSNBC has taken that role.

And fox is now the bash obama network, in the same way MSNBC was a bush hateathon for the last 8 years.

Everyone here IS calling him an asshole, they're just saying that he said what needed to be said. And god no, Fox and MSNBC aren't mirrored counterparts. While Fox is biased, the MSNBC lineup is just unbelievable. I haven't found a network that matches how awful they are.

Most people are in the same boat as you except you can usually tell if someone is left or right of center depending on which of the networks they feel is worse.

But as a west coast limo liberal elitist I think you can guess which noise network I prefer....

I'm sick of the whole talking head screaming match concept in general.....

You obviously haven't tried looking in North Korea, MSNBC is in direct competition with NK state broadcasting network in peddling propaganda for their own "Dear Leader".

Wow. He really failed to capitalize on that opportunity and actually succeeded in doing what he clearly was in opposition of.... making that network look good and himself like an ass.

She was doing nothing more than giving him an opportunity to talk and all he did was take shots at her.

That's true, Olberman & Matthews practically Tag-team Fellate & Snowball Obamas load in their unapologetic man love for him.

Never heard of this Zeigler fellow, kind'a Smarmy, but gave as good as he got.

but gave as good as he got.

What did he get exactly besides a warm welcome and open ended questions to give him a chance to speak about his Palin interview? Questions he was trying to evade in order to use the air time to toss out some us vs them style rhetoric and take pot shots at her without cause.

When you say that you make it sound like he was being attacked. He was the one on the offensive from the opening of the interview.

We all want balanced news and yet here was a chance for him to have a real conversation with someone he might not agree with on the air and instead of actually having a discussion all he did was be an ass.

He's an ass but he's 100% right. Good for him for telling the truth about MSNBC right to their faces.

None of these networks are news networks anymore. They're opinion entertainment. CNN seems to have more straight forward news reporting than it's competitors but much less than it used to have.

You're right, I haven't. I thought it could be reasonably assumed that I'm only referring to major networks. CNN, FOX, MSNBC, ABC, etc Why would I compare to networks the majority of citizens won't ever see?

That's true, Olberman & Matthews practically Tag-team Fellate & Snowball Obamas load in their unapologetic man love for him.

Basically, I used to switch between networks for my news. I might get irritated listening to o'reilly, watching him yell above his opposition, but I absolutely can't stand Olbermann. You'll never see anyone on his show that disagrees with him, all his 'shocking news' is just grasping at straws, it's unbelievable. Matthews is similar, slightly less irritating. I don't find any of the networks acceptable, it's not news anymore it's entertainment. Some are worse than others, but none of them are anywhere near neutral.
