yeah song is a good anti-war song, uniforms look like from ww1 but the planes are from ww2

By the rifles...who they're fighting is a mystery to me, I was almost thinking is this actually French interventionist forces in the Russian Civil War?

It is French, exact era not exactly sure. The Helmet screams French but if you know a little more so does the numbers at his collar, which tell you the regiment. I'm not sure what the French were using towards the end of WWI, but at the beginning they still had very bright uniforms in contrast to the flat examples of the British and Germans.

After watching the video I'm confused about where this is supposed to be, I liked it and the song seemed nice. Anyone have a translation?

At the beginning the cavalry wasn't much better. Oh and the later picture with the USMC in training, the caption was written on that by somebody in the US Library of Congress not me.

They arent wearing real "Adrian" helmets though. The Mle. 1915 has a much narrower brim to the sides.

Plus its body was made in several seperate pieces. Just a WAG but it looks more like a British Mk.II with added pieces.
