For me I always drive. I don't like the idea that my woman drives and she doesn't like driving anyway so it works out fine, and it's also safer for the general community.

The only downside of driving a stick is it makes road heads almost impossible if the guy is driving.

I do, ALWAYS. My opposite number is ok at driving but gets flustered far too easily. I'm happy to give people the bird and move on with my life p-)

Standard is what driving is all about. I actually enjoy myself and my vehicle when I drive a standard, automatic is boring their is no joy or excitement in it...

Ah, young grasshopper hasn't been treated to head while driving (which makes shifting an issue).

Road head = free **** for truckers. How about no thanks.
Usually when we're together, he drives, cause he's a better driver and he likes to be in control.

For guys, don't ever drive a stick in a city while getting head, chances of an accident is very likely and I hate to see you change your first name to Jessica.

John always drove. He couldn't stand riding... if he wasn't driving... we were stopped. I didn't mind that. He was a good driver.
I drive now since I'm not in a relationship, but allowing my daughter to drive is difficult for me. She's just soooo bad!!! I know she needs to practice, but it makes me so tense. I need to have her drive with other people!

I don't care if I'm in the passenger seat but I'd rather be driving my car! Offering to drive in Maryland is a sign of Chivalry. :|

Just wait until she wants you to teach her how to drive a stick. Fortunately, I'm naturally gifted with driving. p-)

The thought of her grinding gears is enough to make me shudder. (you'll just have to do the driving, rat) I learned to drive a stick in high school... John had a car with three on the tree. Once I learned to drive that beast... I could drive anything!

Depends on tjhe situation. I like driving, it makes me feel in control. Honestly, in any of my relationships, whoever felt like driving or was the least inebriated, drove. I've always made it a point to date men who were secure in my independence. Hell, they really didn't have a choice, now, did they?

Once I drove a stick, I never wanted to go back. So much more satisfying, and gives you a hell of alot more control over your car.

I am a man of the nineties ;) and as such I feel that the woman in a relationship should do the driving, that and the fact that means I can drink, when we're out  that and me not having a licence at the momment (don't ask as it is far tooo complicated), But they do need some tutoring to gain proper car control, non of that BSM shuffle (it's a UK term for pissing about with the steering wheel keepin your hands in the ten to two position) that their instructors taught them. I have taught my Mum, Girlfriend and driver at work(also female) and confidennse has impoved in evey case ;)

I usually do the driving when I have a date....although every so often (maybe once a month) I'll let the girl drive me just so it doesn't seem completely and utterly one-sided. I might also add that I drive like a perfect gentleman when I am with a lady.
Course, I drive totally different when I don't have a girl in the car. My Chevelle may only have a 350 in it, but it can still accelerate pretty damn good and it's nice and loud with the headers and flowmasters :D
About stick...eh, depends. My brother has a 68 Charger with a 440 with a 4-speed on the floor. I've driven it like 2 or 3 times and I must say that is one fun ride :D
