The North Koreans are really into the mass displays of manpower. One of their (few) national pastimes is doing mass ceremonies at huge soccer stadiums - y'know where everybody has a colored card & they hold them up to make different pictures. Yay unity! The NKs even to the bathroom in complex coordinated formations.

I suppose when the nation has been driven into the ground, childish displays like that will have to substitute for actual national achievements.

One thing that's kind of funny about these pictures - check out all the fancy medals etc. on the uniforms. What the hell are they for? These guys are way too young to have been in the war...and has North Korea actually done anything with its army since then? So what are those fancy medals for - advanced shoe shining - sustained cross-border stink eye?

Keep in mind that these freakshows could pulverize Seoul in about half an hour since they have thousands of artillery pieces in range.

Just pray we don't go hot with North Korea -- it would most likely end up being a nuclear war.

Rumor has it that those decorated PRK field marshals tried to assassinate their "Dear Leader" on his way back from China with the well-known consequences. The irony here is that the alleged reason is Kim being a "dove" by PRK standards. Hmmm, what is a PRK "hawk" like?
