I hereby support the officers reprimand. I mean how can they expect citizens to respect the law and respect police when police don't can't even respect the uniform!

Fair enough, it looks bloody unprofessional. I wear my Class one cap with all rig, even working rig, albeit an old lid. It has a cloth cover, so it looks a bit Das Boot like.

I see beat cops wearing their 'SWAT' kit all the time in Sydney. They look like crap. Time to get back to a bit of old school policing and looking tidy for a change.

wait what?? I`ve seen loads of police in NSW, QLD, NT wearing baseball caps. I thought it was part of the uniform.

I agree. **** the cargo pants, I want pressed pants, ironed shirt and the old school hats back. In winter they wear a suit. It makes look like a commie state the current uniforms...............oh wait.

From the news report:-

The Advertiser reports the junior officer was attached to the Northern Traffic Enforcement Section, predominantly motorcycle officers who are permitted to wear the baseball-style cap as part of their uniform.



Dont see the problem.
