I saw a episode of Future Weapons the other night and they had this de mining vehicle that had rows of chains in the front for destroying mines, not sure of the exact name! Anybody know what it is and if it used in Bosnia?

Thanks

Ive forgotten the name of the actual machine with the chain but the MineWolf is similar in that it rotates to destroy hidden mines. I know the german army's mine system Keiler was used in Bosnia. Right now though they're probably using the same methods used by organizations in africa and south east asia. A knife/bayonet and a stick with a trained hand.

It is called a mine flail.

Here is some wiki on it:

Ohh really ? There is such a high number of mines in Bosnia i am surprised its done by hand mostly!

And "Prion" yeah that it is although it looked like the newest version, the driver cabin was located all the way in the rear!

The machine version is great for open terrain, but, not all land mines were laid in such drivable areas though, so its back to the spike and hand search methods.
