I bought the Yugoslavian because I can hunt with it.( gas tube shut off to make it single shot) The synthetic because it looked nice and the one above was a gift to me. BTW I like Aks a lot more.

you are from USA, so you shouldn't have any problems with buying AK :roll: well, maybe those SKS are enough for you(for hunting).

SKS are much more less than AKs here. In NY I could buy an SKS for about 125 dollars. Aks, well they vary from 300 to 400 dollars. Nothing wrong with SKS price wise. As long as it does the job.

both the SKS I bought cost less then $200 the cheapest Ak-47 I cost was a SAR-1 at about $350 and the SSR-56-2 from ARSENAL USA at $459 and the most expenve the AK-103 at $825. My current project is that I'm building an Hungarian AMD-65. The AMD-65 is not widely available to the general public in the U.S., unless you have $9000 to spend. If you want a rifle that looks similar to the AMD-65 you need to purchase a used pre-ban AK in the $700.00-$1000.00 price range. You will then need to purchase a AMD-65 parts kit and have it installed on the pre-ban receiver. Thats what I'm working on right now. God bless the Second amendment and those willing to lay down their lives to defend it.
