View Full Version : UK MoD use anti terror RIPA powers to spy on injured troops..
Fvck this - sooner this government is fired and never seen or heard of again the better.
They now are using the RIPA anti terror investigation laws to spy on injured troops to make sure their compensation claims are 'genuine'.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1200478/MoD-covertly-films-hundreds-wounded-soldiers-seeking-compensation-theyre-lying.html
Wounded soldiers seeking compensation for their injuries are being secretly filmed to check whether they are lying about their condition.
The Ministry of Defence has ordered its legal teams to make use of ‘Big Brother’ undercover spying powers originally drawn up to deal with counter-terrorism.
:bash::backhand::-*$ bastards.

seriously haven't they got terrorists to spy on
seriously haven't they got terrorists to spy on
The powers could be used to investigate any one now though - thats the sick thing - we are ALL considered potential target material under RIPOA now.
Pity the thieving scum in Westminster didn't get investigated for their major financial crimes and their home addressed 'verified' as well as their claims.
Sick c##ts need hanging out to dry and never seeing the inside of the power structure again. Using anti - terror laws against our injured soldiers? thats sick, it really is.

Doesn't matter if this Government goes or stay, the legislation will not be repealed. We are stuck with all of these intrusive laws, it will be Labour's legacy.
No political party will surrender this type of power. It would take someone with bollocks the size of Maggie to begin to dismantle Bliar's Malevolent Empire.

Ripa legislation is being misused on a massive scale. The idea behind these powers was to enable local authorities to gather evidence against people who were causing a great deal disturbance and distress in local communities so that they could be taken to task in the courts system. A worthwhile and necessary need. The legislation should be re-visited by Parliament and the uses of it be re-defined to stop this abuse.

Just like how the PATRIOT Act will never, ever go away here. And the powers that be will never allow anyone to erode it. Not in a million years. :-(
In our Nation's history, we have on average never regained those liberties that have been "suspended" in the name of security.

Whats pathetic is that even with these kind of examples, the American herd will keep supporting similar things here at home.

Pfft, welfare and tax credits are small fry compared to surveillance and detention without trial.
People over here were in uproar when Juniors stooges slapped people indiscriminately in prison without due process. Why they are not furious with our own Government for enacting these powers over our own citizens is, frankly, utterly beyond me.
