India, Russia consider building fighter planes with China

New Delhi, June 28 (VNA) - A newspaper in India on June 27 cited the imminently departing Russian Ambassador to India A. Kadakin as saying that India and Russia are considering inviting China to join a project to develop a fifth-generation multi-purpose combat plane.
The ambassador said the planes will need huge investment in terms of design, technology and cost.
Kadakin, who is expected to leave India for home on July 1, affirmed that India and Russia are intending to sell Brahmos missiles to a third country. He said, "a number of Southeast Asian countries are showing interest in this type of missile because it is one of the best in the world."--Enditem
