MG 3 Barrel markings

My superior officer told me that the mg3 barrels has different markings on it.
Sometimes you will find a "S" "SS" or "SSS" on it. We searched a long time on google, internal field manuals and stuff but found nothing.

So does anyone of you know what they stand for ?

Mhm no but i found it.

The Barrels get a marking for usage on it. Depending on how much tollerance the barrel got over the years, it is marked with "S" "SS" or "SSS".

The terms and values for this are in the TDV 08 Rohre aller Art ..

So theese markings are made from the army itself.
