EU reaches gas deal with Ukraine [Archive]

The EU and international lending institutions have agreed a deal with Ukraine to help it provide stable supplies of Russian gas to Europe.

Loans worth $1.7bn (£1bn) were agreed in return for reforms to Ukraine's gas sector, the European Commission said.

Great news but i don't think it matters much now. Soon Ukrainian president will be gone anyway, he will most likely be replaced by pro-Russian president, Ukraine will become Russia's best friend again, we'll see less drama, everyone's happy, etcwoot

So? Ukraine need to modernize it's pipeline anyway, and need a lot of money!
