"Six months after George W. Bush, the man, quietly decamped to a Dallas suburb, George W. Bush, the political symbol, has come out of retirement.
Convinced that Americans still hold Bush responsible for the nation's economic woes -- and will show more patience with Democratic policies if reminded of their dissatisfaction with the eight years of his presidency -- Democratic candidates have stepped up efforts to link GOP opponents to Bush, repeating a strategy that helped them take over Congress, the White House and a number of state offices in the past two election cycles. "

... and will provide some real surprises in 2010

Since FDR, Carter, Reagan, Nixon, Clinton and co are still bashed every day, why should it be any different with George the Younger ?

Those names don't pop up nearly as much except for some of old foggies or ancient foggies (FDR era) start getting a nostalgia bug.

GWB was the most recent so he'll take the most flak. This is generally what happens after an election when one party claims to be "cleaning up" someone else's mess (ie different agenda). If BHO somehow makes it to a second term then he won't be able to play that card or if he does it will be greatly diminished.

What's sad is it might still work. As long as Obama doesn't completely destroy the country, the networks will hold his head above water. Having the majority of journalists on your side, gives you an easy job.

The big problem that the Bush Administration had was that he was magnet for malicious journalism. Day after day, he was bombarded with negative opinions from journalists and celebrities alike, and eventually it spread to the public. Bush couldn't even scratch his ass without someone criticizing him about it. I think that was the journalists that killed the Bush administration. The mismanagement during the years helped, but it was the journalism that wouldn't let the administration heal its wounds.

The GOP needs to start purging its ranks. The Neocons are an era come and gone, and they outstayed their welcome. FOX news is painful to watch because they're stuck in that Neocon mindset, which is why they are unattractive, even a joke. Every time I see Palin appear on the tube, I have to weep because there are people who actually think she's the future of the party. She's not! She's basically a fem-Bush. Republicans need to publically say that the Bush years were a disaster, fire people from their ranks, and start-a-new. The ones who were kicked out will join various other 3rd parties or start their own. But they will eventually wither into obscurity.

Who do you think is the future of the Republican party? That robot Romney? unless offcourse you are thinking of Huckabee!! If anyone seriously believes these charmless robots can stand up against Obama's silver tongue and his army of journalists I got a spaceshuttle to sell.

Either there will be a new conservative leader, Gingrich??, Pawlenty?? or it will be Palin, simply because Palin's got equally silver tongue as the messiah.

Barack Obama's support falls among white voters (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/5961624/Barack-Obamas-support-falls-among-white-voters.html)

Ah, but will they? Or will they continue to move ever more to the right, solidifying the base, and cementing their own irrelevance?

Can't we just "Move ON? Wasn't that the battle cry after Clinton? It even spawned a new Blog...Move On.org. Remember?

I love rats that just keep right on eating the same old piece of poison cheese.

It was "Move On from the Blow Job", not "Move On from Talking About Clinton".

Well, they moved right on past the BJ and into everything else, didn't they...took them very little time to "Move On" to damning the "Neocons" that beat up poor little innocent..."It was just a lie about ***" BJ Billy and right into anything that was not uberliberal and socialist for American.

Because, we live in a generation where it is easier to blame others then blame ourselves for the pathetic outcomes that happen.

So of course GWB will be remembered for years to come. The upcoming president's will find it a lot harder as well.

Fox news is painful to watch?rofl

Their ratings are growing faster than ever mainly because they are not a liberal biased media like the rest of them.

Neo Cons are not dead just taking a new Name.

Alot of which have renamed to Libertarians. Problems with the Republican Party is the Suburbs are growing being dominated and brainwashed by Liberals along with the Schools. Many of my girlfriends Professors are hardcore Liberals.

People are stupid and easily guided.

Republicans have also done nothing but made themselves look like huge hypocrites and gone away from the basics and not take notice or become involved in major topics( marijauna gay marriage healthcare)

Bring on the sleezy pitchman (Obama) and let him pitch his ideas. He is a great speaker and reminds me of a Televangilist.

Bush's problem was he spent like a Liberal and taxed like a Conservative. Along with the Liberal Media and all theese peace loving tree hugger actors and musicians. (back to sheeple) Attacked him which brought on the MTV generation buying into the crap and not thinking for themselves.

Now whats wrong with Palin? She is the future she hasn't gone from her roots and she is the "average" American She has a Unwed teenage daughter that has a child. She herself has children and one with a dissability. No buisness ties though her husband has some although he got into them before her met her from what I understand.

She is a great person. She might not have gone to Harvad or Berkley. She is the Average American. She shoots hunts fishes etc. I can go on all day.

Things most of the Republican Party has gone far from. Exceptions of Cheney and Regan who only did the upclass and expensive sport of Quail hunting with their 25K Shotguns'. not made in America go figure( excellent guns though)

What the Repulican party needs is the Average American again. Also to get involved and quit going to the Christians values which have been destroyed. Gay Marriage Abortion Drugs. Just turn your head make it legal stop complaining about it and get over it.

Cause with the Liberal Media keeps blasing out the Hypocrites it's only drving your "Average American" far from the Republican Party. I mean how can one preach moral standards when you have people like Haggard and Sanford making us look bad.

I am in no way saying the Liberals and Demon Crats are perfect anyway. Thats a whole other thread. rofl

I am one who left the Republican Party not because I bought into the Media. Simply because they are no longer your Average American but a bunch of Hypocrites. :cantbeli:
