Recently bought this off an antique shop in Spain; any WW2 relic experts out there that can give an opinion if it's original or fake? I believe it is a Gemran Army Police model.

It looks like a Nazi Police 1936 Pattern Buckle.
Can you detect any maker marks or stampings on the rear?
However great care has to be taken because
literally everything of the III Reich Militaria is being faked big time. :-(

The belt is unmarked as far as stampings or dates are concerned, as many buckles were.
Despite it's rustic and aged appearance, I think it may be a fakey because the ears, catch, and crimp aren't very different from other fake buckles I've seen.

There are many varieties of modern fakes out there, some of the most common being these, post Wiemar period to Nazi period buckles, the rears a dead give away as they are the same to all types:-

Well, the rust seems to be a bit too orange for an original, but I could be wrong.

The swastika is poorly formed/proportioned, the details are soft (especially the lettering) and the ****gs are shaped like sharp nails.... all bad signs and most certainly a reproduction (fake if it's sold as original).
