It's made of Gore-Tex

It's made of Gore-Tex
I very much think that it isn't. You know, Gore is not a very durable fabric...
Boot’s lining may be Gore, but they’re hardly made out of it!

My pair of combat's are called Greb's, unissued; I got them for $50 at a local surplus store. The last time I checked, they were made by Kodiak Boots (company) (http://www.kodiakboots.com/history.htm).
Here are a couple of pictures of my combats. Enjoy:

What boot does the Canadian army use? We have many types. Most are black but some are white and others are tan. There are also trial boots that are CADPAT.
We have a wet wether boot that is black leather and Gore-tex lined. It is rated for +10 degrees celsius to -10 degrees celsius, but it has absolutly no grip on ice and is a death ticket for the fool that tries. It is also far too hot to wear in the summer, or year round in any building with climate control.
The standard combat boot is black leather with a rubber sole. With a decent insole they are great, but many hate them (I don't).

Summers where I live here are hot but I don't find they're too hot for Goretex boots. My opinion is that they're a lot more comfortable than the standard "black-cadillacs."
Having said that, there's a lot of differences in opinion on the boots. Some people like goretex year round, some won't even wear them in the winter.
There's apparantly a new combat boot coming out that uses the same lacing system and design as the goretex boot.
It looks like I'll be deployed later on this summer to fight fires in the BC interior. I definantly won't wear the goretex boots for that, that'll be too damn hot.
