So we've all heard guys use these terms before to describe girls, and they're all good. But how do you decide which term to use when describing the girl? Is there any certain qualities or groups of qualities (physical, personality) that would be better define by one term than another? To you, what's the difference between the terms and how do you define them?

That a toughie. An age-old question. I guess hot (though I don't really use this one much) might be equitable to gorgeous, but with a more obvious ****** side than gorgeous necessarily conveys?

Beautiful is extremely attractive, but in a more dignified, respectable way, perhaps. Hot with class? For example, in the Army, when at unit functions, the wives all looked beautiful, but I don't think hot would be the right word to describe them. A better example might be weddings-the women, particularly the bride, look beautiful, but not hot.

Cute? That might be the toughest of all. Maybe it's a hot woman, but with her *** appeal not readily visibile. Sort of a girl-next-door-type. Still has a ****** side, but it is one imagined by the viewer, she leaves something to the imagination.

And pretty...a hot or beautiful woman, one might know immediately what they like about said woman. But with pretty, maybe it's more subtle and subdued, and we don't actually know what we find attractive in her, just that she is attractive. Like beautiful, there's an element of dignit and respect to it, I think.

In short, I use whatever term farmgirl told me she wants to be described as that day. ;)

To be honest, I have no clue what the differences are. p-) Have a good one, and just some thoughts...

That's a thinker. I use beautiful to talk about a steady girlfriend. Cause it kinda counts for both looks and personality. Pretty and cute are interchangable. I use those to talk about or to girls I just recently meet. Pretty works well with the steady girlfriend too. Hot on the other hand is all about *** appeal. The sexier a girl is, the hotter the girl is. Like the girl I hooked up with at the lake this weekend. She was hot.

My 2 cents.

Here is what I do...

You say "beautiful" to the girl you're trying to get with. "You're so beautiful." Which is a step up from "You look great."

Once you're with her you use "hot". "You're so hot." You also use hot to describe girls to male friends. "You should have seen this chick, she was so hot!"

Only chicks use "pretty" to describe other girls. "Oh, you look so pretty!" or "His girlfriend is so pretty."

You use "cute" to describe an ugly and/or overweight girl so you don't hurt her feelings. But it is safer to tell them off so they don't think you find them attractive.

Think I'm shallow? Weep'um its America.

I think we need pictures and a poll to decide which terms can be used to describe a girl.

good question...

when i think of hot, it seems to only mean physical attraction...face, body...kind the main points...not the details...very informal and almost animalistic

beautiful...is more of the details...the eyes, lips, hair.....it also incorperates the personality...and overall being...much more formal...and dignified...you compliment a woman by saying she is beautiful..not just by saying....your hot...also can be used to discribe the personality...even the ugliest woman can have a beautiful personality...and personality never changes

cute...beauty at its simplist...not an evening gown and an updew...but jeans and t-shirt and pigtails...cute is saterday morning beautiful

sexy...surpise and passion...sexy is more of an attitude...that sparkle in the eyes...

yeah...i dont know...just my ponderings

I like that, especially that last part.

I think a body part can be beautiful (for example, eyes, lips, etc.) and people always say "cute butt," but can a body part be hot or pretty?

I'm not sure if "pretty" works with body parts.

"She has a really pretty ass."

Nah, just doesn't work for me.
