UKM is different class called also GPMG, UMG
2003 is from LSW, SAW, LMG type guns
And I think gun is nice.... opticaly well balanced, its only working prototype so don't demand look of finished product :)

AFAIK she works fine.
One of the guys who participated in the tests summed:

It's "do-able"... :p
Doesn't look very good... But hey if it works...
The folding buttstock looks kinda weak for a LMG... But then again it's just a prototype...

Then would you ask if the US army finds the AK-108 too expensive since they seem intent on developing that G36-mongrel-somthingie...?

And this is also reason for dewvelpoing our own gun as it must be able to feed from polish ak-alike magazines....
well im sure hk would gladly modify their weapon to feed from an ak mag if a large order is guranteed.
im sorry but many contries dont use the g36 or similar rifles. and to those that do does it mean they cant afford the sig rifles. no they just adoted an hk for political or practical reasons.

im sorry but many contries dont use the g36 or similar rifles. AFAIK the G36 is used in two countries' Army - Germany and Spain.
and to those that do does it mean they cant afford the sig rifles. no they just adoted an hk for political or practical reasons. And Poles choice their own military industry. Yeah, it is very strange, isn't it? ;)
BTW - the automatic rifle 5,56mm rkm wz.03S/D is a part of rifle family included assault rifle 5,56mm kbs wz.96/04 Beryl and a carbine 5,56mm kbk Mini Beryl. All of them are fed from the same mags.

REMOV I see you used "rkm" term , and oficial name in that document is "karabinek maszynowy" ~ "kbkm".. Do you know what is real designation name of that wepon?

REMOV I see you used "rkm" term , and oficial name in that document is "karabinek maszynowy" ~ "kbkm".. There is no such abbreviation as "kbkm" in text, it's your own invention. False. "Karabinek" in WAT terminology is a word used to describe all weapons fed by intermediate cartridge. So, "5,56mm kbs wz.96 Beryl" despite its factory name (kbs means "karabin szturmowy") in fact "karabinek automatyczny" (assault rifle). This weapon (wz.03) is tactically determine as "ręczny karabinek maszynowy" in short "rkm", nothing else and nothing more. But - it's official WAT (WITU) descriptions, there at least two in Poland - historical one (karabin is standard weapon, karabinek is shorter one, there is nothing called "karabinek maszynowy" at all etc.) and manufacturers names (very strange and various - 7,62mm AKMS is karabinek, 5,56mm Mini Beryl is also karabinek, but 5,56mm Beryl is karabin szturmowy).
Do you know what is real designation name of that wepon?I wrote it in the previous message, didn't I?

well im sure hk would gladly modify their weapon to feed from an ak mag if a large order is guranteed. Why should we buy German instead of buy Polish? Is it so hard to understand? ;) never said you should, someone mearily stated a reason why hk was not considered and i stated that it may not be the case. but there is no reason you shouldn't
im sorry but many contries dont use the g36 or similar rifles. AFAIK the G36 is used in two countries' Army - Germany and Spain.also portugal, but like i said, many(an even better word, most) countries dont use it
and to those that do does it mean they cant afford the sig rifles. no, they just adoted an hk for political or practical reasons. And Poles choice their own military industry. Yeah, it is very strange, isn't it? ;) no not at all, i get a feeling as if your trying to agrue something to me, but i think where argueing the same side.

All of them are fed from the same mags.i hear those mags are very durable and reliable, a good choice, the only concern is the lack of a provision for a bolt hold open(not sure about that being true) and the non nato standard. but i think they are better then the hk mags.i just dont like the studs on the side of the hk mags. call me old fashioned.

also portugalThanks. Could you tell me when Portugal officialy adopted the G36 (E version or different?)
i hear those mags are very durable and reliable, a good choice, the only concern is the lack of a provision for a bolt hold open(not sure about that being true) Yes, thats true. The 5,56mm kbs wz.96 Beryl hasn't got this feature.
and the non nato standard. Also G36 magazine isn't a NATO standard, right? ;)
