Do you mean "Plate Carrier"?

Are you going in harms way?

Yes, i meant Plate carrier. -think you can edit that?

no I'm not planning on going into harms way. lent my brother my Eagle Plate carrier and decided to let him keep it. Would like to purchase another one.

They don't have plate and soft armor carriers with mag pouches. Only hard plate carriers.

Try this.

I heard bad stuff about tag. or am i confusing that with UTG?

while I'm here what you guys make of that new simpler Crye carrier and the RAV?

UTG is airsoft crap.

UTG is airsoft crap.

prolly what i mistook TAG for.

So far I'm liking that USGI wasatch. tho id like the ability to carry soft armor and the smaller sapi plates on the side. wasn't there some makeshift way to carry those , or are they strapped inside a cummerbund or attach via Molle pockets?

TAG is the best gear I have owned. I have owned Blackawk, Spec-Ops, Tactical Tailor, and issued SDS. TAG is by far the best quality, durability and inovation. Tactical Tailor is up there and Blackhawk right behind. Spec-Ops sucks balls.

Does the Wasatch come in Ranger Green?

The type, design and color of the plate carrier would depend a lot upon what situations you're planning on using this.

For example, I think a Grey carrier with a simple 3 mag holder would be sufficient for you to mount an assault on the college Air Force ROTC program.

I find your comment not only insulting and suggestive to an assault on a college . But one of which strikes as harassment. throughout the forum you have ridiculously pursued my posts just to merely post flame bait.

The first part however is serious. What are you going to be using it for? Hunting in the desert, or to hang in your closet?

Doesn't matter, Ranger Green is what I'm looking for.

I'd suggest you take those pics off because they're hotlinked. I dont know the difference between ranger green and olive drab...ask an airsofter, they would know.

According to the Highspeedgearinc. website, the Wasatch comes in:
Khaki, smoke green, desert digital, ACU, multicam and black.

http://www.hsgi.us/products.asp?cat=13

SKD has it in:

Army univers. camo, black, khaki, multicam and olive drab.

Smoke green and ranger green I believe are the same thing. OD is a little more greener and foliage green is a little more greyish/tan and ranger green is inbetween those two.

Your request for plate carrier is confusing to your actual requirement. What you ask for is actually a armor carrier not a plate carrier. HSGI will not prvide you with soft armor capability. TAG makes a copy of the CIRAS which is an armor carrier. Also Diamondback Tactical and the well known CIRAS and RAV.

You are looking at the vest along and add Mag shingles like the ones you can find from Diamondback.

You know just a good set of BALCS cut soft armor run about 600.00 plus another good 800 for a set of L3 inconjunction plates. Let alone the 400 to 600 you will spend on the vest and all the pouches you need.

Didn't you dad just bought you a Colt 6920? This would be an even bigger investment on his part.

UTG is airsoft crap.

Is it? My Nephew has just come back from Afghanistan where his force protection where SAS and several of them where using UTG plate carriers "Solo Multi role 1" to be exact, they seem to think it's fine, I've got my nephews one that he was given and to tell you the truth it's put together very well. :|
Bit too good for airsoft methinks!

The Wasatch (http://www.optactical.com/wasatch.html) does appear to be available in Ranger Green.

Unless your law enforcement, I would suggest just going for a single unit like this: http://www.diamondbacktactical.com/Advance-Warrior-Fast-Attack-Plate-Carrier-P2910C85.aspx
A plate carrier with soft armor backing the plates should be sufficient for attending carbine classes, and general zombie defense. However I'm not here to nitpick.

why is it so expensive there? its $205, but on HSGI's its around $150.

thats just a plate carrier, and for that I'm already looking at a wasatch. i liek the front pocket wit hthe bungee retention that takes different types of mags.
