whether that was a good decision or not can be debated, I believe it goes against the Islamic notions of respecting the dead.

Preparing a body for burial in this fashion is, I believe, common practice in the US. Also preparing the bodies in this way makes the video much less graphic, than if they had just shown the autopsy video for example.

Had they not shown the video then there would be propaganda about how the sons were still alive, and the raid was just staged by the bush administration (and they were using blanks :) ) etc etc etc

When they do show proof that the sons are dead there will be an outcry saying that's sick, and doesn't show respect for the dead etc etc etc

So at least they tried to clean the bodies instead of just showing a mangled bullet ridden bloated corpse.

who cares i would have hung them up in baghdad for everyone to see. or prop them up so everybody could get thier picture taken with them.
