New version of Polish desert uniform has better cut and improved camouflage called "pustynne pantera" (eng. desert panther) with a little darker sand colors. All packets are closed by velcro. These modifications were made in the end of 2003. The first sets of this "bdu's" have been used in Iraq (and maybe in Afghanistan too) since the beginning of 2004.

( note the internal packets in the new one: one with zipper and other with velcro )

Thanks for pictures AdAm! (I'm curious what PI means in the name of new version)

And, take a look at both uniforms in Iraq (old and new one).

It's interesting that one prototype version of new desert uniform that Poles were testing had a angled packets.

velcro not only looks ugly, but their is no real need for it.

Nothing wrong with Velcro you can put on new insignia on easier and take it off quicker.

Good look camo and uniform those Poles are doing an excellent job.

velcro not only looks ugly, but their is no real need for it.

Our Dutch army uniforms also have velcro for the namepatch (wright chest), unitpatch (left chest) and devisionpatch (wrightarm). It works great, and you don't waste uniforms with all the stickings on it ;)
