Dominick Dunne died, age 83. Served in WWII and was decorated with the Bronze Star at age 19.

His daughter Dominique Dunne the actress was murdered and he was a victims rights advocate and prolific writer.

I dug his style. Hell of an investigative reporter. Did not know about the Bronze Star.

looks like he live a great life, other than his daughter getting murder, hopefully they are getting to know one another again. Rest in Peace.

A hero inside and out. he won his Bronze Star at the Battle of the Bulge, running into the open under heavy enemy fire to pull into cover an injured comrade.

I admired him for his writing, his compassion for others, and above all, being an honest human being with hiself and others.

Oh and his sobering up methods a kingly one.

I did not know how he had won the Bronze star, thanks for sharing. His daughter was in that movie "Poltergeist" as the dark haired daughter who flipped off the swimming pool construction workers...and she was killed by some ex boyfriend or something, ...he was a tireless worker for victims rights. Hell of a storyteller and writer. RIP to him.
