Our great union self-devotion protects the Spanish people. I
hope , the Spanish people can understand that truth .
How is Zapatero's popularity holding up, as he cuts away at commitments and ties with the US and NATO? Does it play well with Spaniards? And does he have a vision or a specific policy goal as pertains to relations with countries like the US and UK? I guess what I'm asking is; is his anti-interventionism an effort to distance himself from the US or is he really just that afraid of more terrorism in Spain, or is he just so far to the left - such an ardent socialist - that I couldn't possibly understand what's going through his head even though I consider myself more liberal* than not?
*I'm one of them powerful military-powerful diplomacy democrats woot we're rare...

He has any vision from foreign affairs, and he his an anti-american (as all socialists).
His policy consist on being neutral cause he belives that if we are neutral we will have any problems with terror. on the other hand we will send a small contingent to help Afghans during their elections(why we help Afghans and no Iraqis?), but thy have an protection cause we don't send any armour vehicle with them.

Marino,
I think the total amount will be 1000 troops to Astan (a light infantry BTN).
We do not like Zapatero `cause he lacks cojones and listens too much to IU (United Left, ex communists)
