ANKARA, TURKEY - Turkish soldiers march during a military parade marking the 87th anniversary of Victory Day on August 30, 2009 in Ankara. Turkey's military flexed its muscle with parades and flypasts in major cities Sunday to mark Victory Day against a backdrop of intense debate on a government plan to peacefully end a 25-year bloody Kurdish insurgency. Victory Day on August 30 is a national holiday in Turkey to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Dumlupinar, the final battle in the Turkish War of Independence in 1922. Corrects on the shoes. Methinks that pistol is a Beretta M9 (looking at the fat grip and high-res pics). Also the caption says that they're 4th ID, plus their M4's arent packing the requisite SF toys.

Air Force and US Navy do use ACU sometimes and they do work together, hence the ACU and USAF branch tape. True, that PEQ isn't the regular PEQ-15, PEQ-2 that we see in pics. Reminds me of the old VITAL laser. Nice pics nevertheless.

Looks like he may have a MBITR, dunno whats in the bag, or any other details, etc.

Also, VHF isn't the only thing JTACs use.. same with pretty much everyone else.

Not all guys with hiking boots are SOF, lot of Regular guys have them. Also what is the requisitie SF toys on a M4..... a buddy of mine is SF an all he had on his M4 was a PEQ15.

The guys in the pics could be Scouts or LRS or whatever

The Airman in the pic is wearing the Air Force tiger stripe BDU. Helmet cover an Body Armour is ACU as there isn't any Tigerstripe stuff made yet AFAIK. But yea has been worn by non-Army guys.

I believe it's a Harris 152, with a remote antenna cable kit, it has all the cape's of the 117f but it's the size of a MBITR. JTAC's primarly monitor UHF comms, but depending on the operation and Air craft they monitor both UHF and VHF
