They look like hockey shorts. Maybe it's the suspenders.
Good idea though!

The interceptor armor already has a ****flap for your genitals, this is to protect your upper legs (femoral artery especially)

To adapt and overcome" is it a real moto in the USMC ?
In anyway, woot forthe guy who came up with this Idea and woot for the corp that invests time and money to protect it`s marines.
BTW, i see often a lot of new "tricks" and a sence of inventivity comiing out of the USMC, is it because it`s more open to new ideas and less "reglation book even oon the battlefield", or simply the Army is also quite inventive but doesn`t brag about it?

They're not really meant for mobility or to be issued to every troop. In the article, one of the users said that they're quite heavy and difficult to move around it. They're not practical for issue to people on foot, but they could be a true life-saver for gunners on Humvee turrets.

Look, it`s also a matter of practice, for sure you won`t play ninja with them, but it`s like with the regukar ceramic, it`s a pain but you learn to get along.

Hopefully they have a good quick release mechanism.
If you had to jettison them, and they were as hard to get off as snow pants were when you were a kid, you're done for!
Other than that they sound like a great idea.
