Round, you say?
http://snyderstreasures.com/images/germanmilitaria/documents/KaiserLotIDTagCU.jpg
Not any smaller either from what I've seen.
As for British ones, WW2 were compressed asbestos, like the WW1 versions (though metal in tropical climates I think). They were also two different shapes (and colours), now they're round.
Just thought it was interesting, no point to make.

Former Soviet special forces commando member Konstantin Nikulin (L), 42, speaks with his lawyers on September 14, 2009 in Vilnius Regional Court. The court ruled on September 14 that Nikulin would be tried for the 1991 killing of seven border guards in Medininkai, Lithuania, despite defense arguments that the applicable statute of limitations had passed, saying the request was unreasonble because the statute limitation would pass on July 31, 2011 -- 20 years after the crime was committed. After the ruling, the court adjourned the case until September 17 due to several dozens procedural requests by Nikulin's defense. Nikulin, who denies he was present at the crime scene but acknowledged he was in Lithuania in July 1991, risks a life sentence.

I wanted to point out that although very nice other European cerimonial and guard regiments are not as impeccable, sharp in every detail as the British ones are.
Alternatively I much prefer the US Old Guard or the US Marines Drill Team.
Err, Yes ... In that case these troopers are dutch, not british.

That is the new digital camo of the Border security Force--BSF(paramilitary border security force--not army), the difference between it and the Wehrmacht's desert pattern flecktarn is minor, but the Indian pattern has no "flecks". Originally (1955 !) , "Bundeswehr" is the German short form of "Bundesdeutsche-Wehrmacht" ^^ :)
Literally, it makes perfect sense. (in German "Wehr" simply means "defense" - we also call our Firebrigades "Feuerwehr"... )

Good Lord!! talk about different cultures, friend or not, if someone pulled something like this during a cremation, the deceased persons relatives would have lynched that guy, the ultimate insult/ disgrace is to mock the dead.
That being said RIP to the dead and god bless that poor friend.

Yep, really does show how our cultures and norms differ so much. I can understand their situation, but no one would allow such a thing with in my circles even for the same reason.
Rest In Peace to the fallen Soldier and my best wishes to his friend. To fulfill an unusual promise like this is a true testament of what a loyal friendship is.

That's a strange arrangement for the guns. Maybe even dangerus. I guess made necessary due to the terain?

Well, from the facts that there is no ammo apparent, that there are too many guys standing around looking, and that the trails are not dug in, (the guns have not been fired) I would suggest that this is a training exercise.

It isn't
This one- BSF(desert digital 3 colour) traditional w/ shoulder straps
post#1012- Indian Army new pattern hyperstealth pattern based on the traditional jungle fern but with lighter colours, not yet spotted in the field. No shoulder straps, just like the modern pattern ACU, MARPAT.

i was thinking it might be a PR op...clustering like that isn't a good tactical move...also if the guns start firing the crew would go deaf fast...

To be frank, it's very unusual even for the UK. You'd be politely escorted from the cemetary/kicked to death here too. This was a one-off thing cleared in advance with all concerned, clearly with the best of intentions. Even then, plenty of cemeteries/crematoria would take issue with it.
