Nice photos!
They seem to have some decent equipment compared to the Afghan 'army'.

Ummm.... in the 2nd pic from the top.
The guy who takes a knee with the Scott goggles, is he black or African Iraqi( :P PC!!)?
Looking good doens mean much. Remember one day they might have to fend off the Syrians and Iranian. We are looking at the basis of a regular military here. So judge them as such, instead of the dilapidated security/police that they are.

I think we to many times judge soilders by the looks and the gear. The images make them look cooler than before woth the steel helmets, but they dont necessary perform better.
Even thou i today belong to a fighting unit-- give an SF dude som old rifle and give me all the blackhawk gear and the newest stuff there is he will probably kill me anyway.
Edit: But ofcourse I´m happy for them! Theyre having a tuff time there

Haha, very heavy American influence in the way they wear their uniforms (goggles, sunglasses, knee pads etc).

It's just that we're glad to see that they're finally getting the gear they need to do their job. They still have a long way to go, and could use some armored vehicles and more radios, but little things like kneepads, camelbaks, sunglasses/goggles are all very helpful. And the new vests and helmets could give them a second chance in some situations where previously they would have been done for.
