Georgia is a multinational state, building democratic institutions and forging a civic identity.
Oh shi- foresight? :|
It's a mystery whether Saakashvili has (in the words of a teacher of mine) the political insight of a newt, or that of a rhinoceros with diarrhea. If he's learned anything from Georgia's plight from the early 1990s til 8/8/08, it's that you should stay on the good side of your minorities (Azeris, Turks, Russians Armenians, Kurds), especially ones who have been known in neighboring states to start rebellions rather than be second-class citizens. Keep in mind that this is the Kavkaz.
