There are tons of video footage of the US Army engaging Iraqi insurgents from a great distance using thermal imaging like the video shown above. So, is there any effective countermeasure to thermal-imaging, i.e. to make someone/something less visible or even invisible to thermal-imaging?

Think on this a second - The US is fighting insurgents with a weapon system in a warzone, and you then ask, after giving the insurgents as an example, for any tips in helping defeat said thermal systems?
I do not expect you to get much help, sorry.

Griffon Six I hope you don't mind me asking this but do you work for the taliban?
First shave your body:chest, legs, ass, and pits to reduce sweating thus reducing heat. Wear tons of deodorant all over the body even your head if you have a bold spot. Antiperspirant will stop sweating. Bold heads release lots of heat so wear a tinfoil hat. After this step, use a high quality heavy duty foil to wrap yourself. Every inch of your body must be wrapped in foil like a B2 bomber any inch exposed will be like a beam for the radars. I did this 3 times when I was escaping the NYPD and their choppers could not locate me with the FLIR. p-):|

Thermals pickup the flow of warm blood around your body, which is why a human body shows up so bright.
So therefore, removing the blood from your body would stop you being spotted with thermals.
Submerge yourself in freezing water for 20 minutes.

I heard you snuck up behind the chopper and "killed" it. Awesome.
To the OP, most popular countermeasure to date in the FMs is pretty common stuff you can use in a household: bath tub full of ice cubes -- no water.

I hear deep cold works when your spread it all over your body. Even your boys.
