hmmm that's not good. wat do u guys think is the best option? The U.S. and Australia should be allowed to participate if there is a raid of some sort. But it's against the filipino consititution to let foriegn troops stage anything combative in the philppines :( . Hopefully our special ops boys trained the boys well down there.

Fox is reporting that the Foreigners were released by the rebel military forces.

However if they werent, i too would agree that the US or Australia should have been the ones to rescue them, as they have FAR better HR units.

Is anyone acually listening to what they are saying?

instead of dismissing them as terrorists listen to what they are saying and do some research. sure its not the right way to get attention but why would loyal soldiers turn on their government?

Plus they said they were not going to hurt anyone, and now the government is giving them about 2 hours from now to surrender or die.

"We mean no harm to anyone".

Asked if she ever felt threatened, she said "No". - Australian ambassador asfter being released.

"We are putting these (bombs) to defend ourselves.

"They (the government) are putting a death warrant on us," he said, adding, "they want to suppress what we know".

The rogue soldiers today accused the government of selling ammunition and weapons to local Muslim separatist and communist rebels and blamed it for a series of deadly bombings this year in the southern Philippines.

The group also accused Arroyo of planning to declare martial law in August, by using a series of bombings in the capital as the pretext to stay in power after her term ends in 2004.

I think the military would be in a better place then most to say if the government is selling ammuniton to terrorists, as well as the planned martial law.
