I know it`s lame, but last time I went to run, I died after 3 easy kilometers, from that took a look at the scale and found out that i`m over 20 pounds  , that might be one of the side effect of beer and quiting the cigarette.
So, seriously, time has come for me to go back to shape. I`m a good 30 now, any suggestion guys?

Run.... Sorry but there is no magic solution or easy way to shed those pounds besides jogging and cutting back on the food intake. Some people may tell you all these lame ass ideas about wieght loss, but the simple fact remains.......Eat less, run more.
PS. Trust me on this....Wrestling has been a part of my life since I was a kid and wieght was something i've always had to shed at one time or another. ;)

Wrestlers unite! (I also currently wrestle)
About running, do you have access to a treadmill? Because running outside and and running on a treadmill have their advantages and disadvantages. If you can get to a treadmill, you can control the pace and incline (if it has that option) and weather doesn't affect you for the most part. Running outside is a different story. You actually have to push yourself whereas on a treadmill you're running along with a belt. You can also run on grass which may give your knees a little brake.
But if your in that bad of shape you may just want to start off with power walking.

NEVER!!!!! Just jog. Power walking just makes you look odd.

Power walking is great when you're going for 20 minutes or less, jog/run when you're going on for longer. Power walking is great for your thighs and butt.

Again, if you are a guy and you are power walking you will look very feminine. Power walking is for the ladies.

BS :p
If you're just starting and haven't found a certain direction on what type of physical regiment you want to get into, power walking can help motivate you and keep you active in the mean time. Also, running straight from the start wouldn't be wise because of the impact it has on your ankles, knees, and hips. You should perfect your walking technique before advancing. Jogging isn't bad. Mix it up.
