I wouldn`t say that.
It`s funny how the disdain once showed for the japanese reported on China.
The type 95 and it`s caliber are pretty original, and if there`s definitely a lack in design research, it doesn`t mean that there `s no novelty in design or use.
BTW, should we reject the M60 because it uses a MG42 feeder cap?, Or the valmets, galil and R4 because they are "inspired" by the AK47?
In term of comercial and design patent, western countries are no better than China, by often letting the other do the R&D and using prooven solutions.
