This has nothing to do with the Falklands Conflict , it has more to do with WW 2 , but I can't find a source of info that would help on this proyect - After reading it , you are welcome to delet it since it's not related to this Thread , but if someone happens to know were should I go for info I would appreciate it - Reagrds Enrique - Please read -

There is a Group of People on the other forum , who are restoring a Avro Lincoln B MK II , ex RAF 351 - N/F 1408 , last number was B 004 for Argentine Air Force - Yes it's old . seems to be only 4 left , and this seems to be one of them - When I ask them were do you get parts for it , they said well we try to build them our self -Which now makes me doubt if it will fly - This is the reason that brought me to this Forum today - Are there parts available in Great Britain ? Please see the Link :

Hello Enrique - I've known of the Argentine Lincoln for a long time, I guess it's suffered the same problems as any historic airframe kept in the open.

There are only four Lincolns left - you have two in Argentina, we have one in the UK and there is one in Australia. As Argentina was the last country to operate the type, I'd have thought there was more chance or parts being found there than anywhere else.

With many such restoration projects, many parts have to be scratch built and I'm guessing that this is probably the only avenue open in this case.

The RAF's preserved Lincoln B.2 at the RAF Museum, Cosford.

N.B. I've asked the Mods to split this from the Falklands 25 thread as it is inappropriate to the topic.

The Avro Shackleton was based on the Lincoln and were in service until 1990. The commonality of wings and landing gear would certainly aid in any restoration project.
