I have come across the Swedish Varmetroja 90 aka Troja 90 sweater full zip wool sweater but mostly in smaller sizes.

Can any of our Swedish members please tell us are there any good surplus sources for this sweater in Sweden? Links? Suggestions?

The Swedish sweater sizes are a number system like 5, 6 and 7.

What is a large and X Large in the Swedish number system?

I am on a wool kick and I like my Ulfrotte but it is expensive so the Swedish sweater looks similar to the Ullfrotte but a better price.

Thanks for your help, fellows.

I don't know about the exakt sizes but I have a size 6 and it fits me pretty well and so did the 5 even though the sleeves were w little short and it was a bit tighter. I'm about 185cm and weighs around 75kg. Hope I could be of help, if not I'm sure you could just find the sizes if you google it :)

Thanks Javelin.

Are there any web dealers in Sweden that you recommend?

Is the correct term Troja or Varmetroja 90 for the wool sweater?

The correct term is Tröja 90, but colloquially referred to as "värmetröja" :)

As you may or may not know, the swedish sizing system is based on weight and height in kg/cm. So if you find a retailer for the sweater you can simply ask them to give you one that match your measurements. From my experience, the sizes usually match pretty well.

Found this info on soldf.com for Tröja 90:
Size 4 - 60-70 kg
Size 5 - 70-80 kg
Size 6 - 80-95 kg
Size 7 - 95-110 kg
Size 8 - 110- kg
Size 9 - 125- kg

No info on length though.

This company sales them new and calls them Tröja 90 grov. The info says that they only have size 6 in stock.
I have never dealt with this company before, so I can´t give you any references. Try send them an E-mail: info@militart.se

Good luck!

Ullfrotté is the former name of Woolpower, who is the manufacturer of Tröja 90, so it´s the same ****!:)

Nice to have a cold day in the field!

This is a great "jacket" I really love mine, bought it from http://www.survivalschool.co.uk/survival-bushcraft-equipment-111.html (400 full zip version)for 60 pounds last year, now it costs 75 pounds unfortunately, but they have it in big sizes.

75£!?
The company I linked to sell them for 28£/325 SEK, a real bargain in comparison.

Jaeger,

thanks for posting that size chart!

Definitely cheaper on that site you posted.

Any idea is the Troja 90 the 400g or 600g weight?
