No, they do look kinda different in shape. Notice the big bulge on his, where there is not one on the guy's to the left.

Actually the helmet IS different.
So is his mike. Whether that is because he is a radio operator or not I do not know. Does the Canadian military have independent FAC/SOPS? If so, do they wear different helmets (air force or sops)?
That might answer it.

Trust me guys, the helmets are the same. I serve in the CF and see it all the time, if the helmet band is over the "bulge" you cannot see it well. If the helmet band is right above the bulge, it is much more ****ounced and changes the look. If you still don't believe me, ask me and I will take picture of my helmet and helmet band in the different positions tomorrow.

Also buddy in the middle's band is green, thus contrasting the bulge even more

What are you reserves? or regulars? and what unit

I'm in the reserve regiment the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. We all wear the same kit. Everyone wears the same helmet (M3 I believe is the designation) unless they are something like an armoured crewman or pilot, for example.
Another thing to take into consideration is the angles you see that at, and also the size of the helmet. Different sizes (they come in S,M,L, and XL) will make it look as if it covers more of your head (depending on the angle you look at it). I was originally issued an XL helmet and now I currently use a more appropriate M. From the top or side, the bigger helmet looks as if it covers more of your head, but if you look at it from an upwards angle, if it's too big for your head, you'll see that it sticks out too much on the sides and front, protecting you less.

Another thing I just noticed was, look careful at his strap, it's undone. The helmet could be sitting farther back on his head because his helmet is not done up.

Must admit I thought it was a PASGT and the fact he's not got shoulder protectors on his vest made me think for a second he wasnt Canadian. Take your word that the helmets are the same, but it does look...different..like its got a deeper bit that covers the ears.

The Canadian Helmets are made by the same making as the Michs, Gallet and they had them issued way before the Yanks.

After staring at the picture for a few minutes I have come to the conclusion that they are in fact the same helmet. However the center soldier looks like his may be one size too big (or the other two may have a size too small :) )and thats why it looks different.

From what I've heard, the CVC Modular Helmet is staying in service; what you may have heard is that the Canadian Forces want to obtain a new helmet for personnel of Combat Vehicles.

The helmets are the same. Maybe he was to lazy to pull the cam cover on tight which is almost always the case. You get buldges if it's not tight.

No, they do look kinda different in shape. Notice the big bulge on his, where there is not one on the guy's to the left. They all have the same helmet (the only other helmet we have in the army is AFV crew helmet and those distinctly different) All of our kevlar helmets bulge over the ears.

Most likely with all the budget cuts, these helmets will not go into service any time soon. Anyway the current helmet is doing its job.
