See How They Ran (http://www.msnbc.com/news/944711.asp?0cv=KA01&cp1=1)

Even though the elimination of Uday and Quasay required the US to pay a reward of US$30million to the informant, in the end it didn't cost the US any money at all. Siezed from the brother's last stand were intelligence informaton, viagra, and other drugs. But that was not all, US forces also found US$100million in US dollars and Iraqi dinars. More than enough to pay for the US$30million bounty on the brothers and the additional US$25million for Saddam himself if an informant turns him in.

Nice story!!
I'll bet you $25 million dollars old Saddam is feeling mighty claustraphobic and extremely paranoid right now!!

I think the American military should give that money straight to the new Iraqi regime. They have no right to use it like it's their own.

No flame intended, just my 2 cents.

At the moment, Mr. Bremer and his merry men are the iraqi regime and have supreme authority over any iraqi politician.

I do agree with Smintjes. My first thoughts reading this topic were: Great! Use it! But on the other hand... It's not their money. It was stolen from the Iraqi people.

Don't get me wrong! I don't want 'em to hit the streets handing a bundle of dollars to every bypassing Iraqi, but there should be a more decent solution.

UNLESS of course, the new 'Iraqi' government decides to give it to the Americans as a reward for capturing/killing these wanted people (so they can use it to pay), OR say they want to pay themselves (and use that very same money...) :D
