I saw the book in the store today and thought of getting it but decided to check here to see if anyone else has read it, and find out what some of you think about the book.

So Is it worth it or not.

I've met and, briefly, worked with the man. He is the REAL deal.

Inside Delta force was a great read with a lot of real interesting info about how Delta Really operates.

One Perfect Op wasnt really that great in my oppinion, and was definatley not as good a read as Inside Delta Force. There are some interesting parts like the invasion of Grenada where they have to hold a mansion, but thats the climax of the book. The rest just details the rest of his work with Red Cell with is just a bunch of security tests around military instalations.

Thanks for the Help Guys they all were good reads. I stayed up two nights to read them. I found them all to be very interesting.

About Inside Delta Force two things got me: How high up did the POW rescue op go. Did the President at the time know it was being planned and did he have anything to do with it being compromised?

Second thing is the about the Op Down in Honduras when Haney kills the guy that went through selection with him. What was the story with him?

Once again thanks again for the previous help and the future help.

I read Hunting the Jackel[i] in two days. It is pretty short and just doesn't give alot of info. He talks little about himself during the Vietnam war, and none during the Korean War. He focuses on his time as an IP (contractor) for the CIA while working in Sudan. He also mentions that he saw combat in the first Gulf War and in Kosavo but doesn't say anything else. I would have liked to have heard more about his time spent in A-Stan. But I guess most of his actions with the CIA in some of the sixty some countries he claims to have operated in are pretty secret and classified. I believe every word he wrote, he seems like one incredable American Soldier, I just wish he could have told more.

Haney states that he had a feeling that the guy he killed that went through selection with him was working for the CIA at the time, and it was messed up because his operation was also CIA backed.

KML, you are right SEAL! is a great book. He really gives an insight into the hunt for hostages in Beruit that I have never read before.
