This gun is a Villar-Perosa Modele 1915 pistola mitragliatrice. All I know about this gun is that it was built in Italy in 1915, was the oldest submachine gun ever built, and was used by Italian alpine troops during World War 1.

Maybe some of our Italian site members, who show up every now and then could give me some more explanation about this archaic gun....

it maybe interesting to note that the picture that "BC_recon" has is one of him in no more than his ARMY CADET uniform. What he is doing is illegal and the provos should be over to kick his ass....using ADF property to make himself look like he actually does something good.

Note on his shoulder he has a blue flash, this is in fact the Australian Army Cadte Corps badge and he is most likey using a bb pistol to try and look kool....get a life u childidh bastard(he must be...u cant be in cadtes unless u r under 19)

Hahah, shut up wanker (3RAR). Its my equipment, and yes the uniform I am wearing in that photo does have a blue flash on it from my cadet days that is correct, how very observant of you, it seems to me like you are looking for trouble if you snoop around for fine details like that. I dont see why its such a big deal either arsehole.

You said... Being soo extremely cool:

"it maybe interesting to note that the picture that "BC_recon" has is one of him in no more than his ARMY CADET uniform. What he is doing is illegal and the provos should be over to kick his ass....using ADF property to make himself look like he actually does something good.

Now let me pick out your faults.

You didnt start your first sentence with a captial, thats just not on. You also spellt my name wrong so you were'nt even talking about me but I understand where you seem to be coming from. You didnt leave a space between the last word and the first bracket. ADF property... Errrr, wrong answer... My property. You cant spell cadets properly "Cadte"... Spelling Cool with a "k" is also wrong. "Childidh" you mean to say Childish I presume.... Hahah.

With that on my side, I have come to the conclusion that you are either:
A) Younger than myself
B) You have no idea what you are saying
C) You cant spell properly
D) All of the above.

D) is the correct answer in this case I believe Mr"3RAR".

Now, go and sit back down in the corner and play with yourself.

You might also want to consider learning to either use a spell check or go back to school Mate...

I think that covers it.

have a nice day gentlemen.

while i'm at it, i'll translate that also:

And does anybody know anything about this gun?
Chambered for 9x19 Glisenti round, always build as a double gun (not to be confused by the OVP – bottom pictures that only later evolved from it and some of which survived into early days of WWII), fed from a pair of 25 round box mags, operated on a delayed blowback principle. Apart of being issued to infantry and used as a fire support weapon in manner reminiscent of the proposed “trench gun” some were reportedly mounted on aircraft

That is the first. In 1916 and 1917, the Germans developed submachineguns that were issued to their "Sturmtruppen" for the offensives of 1918.

That last image marked OVP (http://www.earmi.it/armi/atlas2/650.htm) is the latter version Villar Perosa (http://www.firstworldwar.com/atoz/mgun_vperosa.htm). More Alpini relation here (http://worldatwar.net/chandelle/v1/v1n2/adriatic.html).

This is the Bergmann built MP18 designed by Hugo Schmeiser of C.G. Haenel who later developed the 'Sturmgewehr' with the MP43:

Another early development was by Captain Cei-Rigotti. In 1894 he produced an automatic rifle for the King of Naples. An improved version was developed in 1900 and tested by the UK Small Arms Committee in 1905.

Chill it ffs, if you don't like his avatar at least say it in a "nice" way, wich dosn't involke the words "get a life" ,"childish bastard" or "kick his ass".
