Depends on the type of area you are going to be in, we need more information.

Olive Drab.
Ive got a olive drab MAV from tactical tailor, and from what i can tell it seems to work quite nice

This totally depends on where you are.
Just ask yourself "Does this shirt go with this tree?"

Here are some examples (http://www.defence-net.de/info/index.php?tarnung)
I tried to translate that in meaningfully english... But my english is not the best (havenīt terminated school, yet). But itīs not all. If you have further questions, ask me!)
It totally depends on the area!
Woodland is manily used in the USA. But itīs used, too, from the South-America and African States. Olive and brown speckled. Suitably for tropical and hardwood forests.
Flecktarn (German expression, english perhaps mark camouflage) is used of the "Bundeswehr" and the danaish armed forces. The Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) uses Green-black-brown marks especially for the Hardwood forests in central europe. Denmark uses the same sample like the germans with the only difference that the brown is a further green-colour.
More mark comouflage par example used in Spain. Very much coluor-tones in woodland-style. Good camouflage in mixed woodlands.
Touching camouflage used of Russia in Two-clay and of Cyprus in multi-colour. Long, vertical strips in relatively equivalent depths of shade. Particularly for shrub country.
Jungle mainly two, at the most 3 different mixed colours from dark and much brighter green tones.
Summary:
woodland = tropical and hardwood forests
mark camouflage = hardwood forests (mainly in central europe)
More mark comouflage = mixed woodland
touching camouflage = shrub country

I guess that he means which is the better cammo in general. You can't always change your cammo everytime you relocate ;)
Choosing from these two I think I would go with woodland if it was anything other than urban warfare.

Ok, youīre right. Surely you canīt change your clothes when you come from a corn field to a potato field
If I should coose one of the two, Iīd coose Woodland, too. It fits several surrounding fields

Flectarn is very usefull in pinetree forests or in green bushes.

Most people who have used camo in the field will admit OD is the most versatile, it takes on the colors and shades of the surrounding area via dirt/mud and shadow helps break up the outline. I don't think its the best for a particular circumstance, but it is the best all around versatile camo.
Woodland is much too dark for most applications except, well, dense woodlands.
Marpat and especially cadpat seem to be the best thing going right now for both blending and breaking outline.

Yeah , the digital patterns surely have an advantage when it comes to these things . However this guy wanted to know which to choose from US woodland or OD.
I have to say that the US woodland is not that bad of a pattern. But I'd still take the Flecktarn instead of it.
So go with OD , it's something we can all agree on..

You can't beat a dull olive drab or Grey pattern for working in more situations. Other camoflage works well in some places but sticks out in others. Single (drab) earthy colors will always work best.
Trick we used!!!
Find the patterns you like! Print them out on some paper (in color of course) then take them to the woods, town etc. and lay them hear and there. See which ones blend the best.

Or you can just make you own camo with vegetation that grows in the area. Either way O.D.s are the way to go.

for those saying marpat (or even cadpat)
While doing a patroling exercise last spring, two troops (one in OD and one in cadpat) 200m away from me were crawling through open field (from cover to cover). The guy in cadpat, looked almost black, in contrast to the ground, where the guy in OD blended right in.
Woodland patterns work fantastic, in the woods. Open country though, they'll stick right out.

This camo beats anything out there right now. The company has spent several years developing and is responsible for research/development in the military in regards to camouflage
