I was thinking benchmade but... Alot of the other pictures have the Force Recon guys sporting a Gerber case on their belts.

almost everybody sports at least 1 gerber case on their belt, usually a utility tool and a quick release knife...

It looks like the handle has a "skeletal" appearance which was a trademark of early Spiderco and Benchmade knives. The end of the knife where the blade connects being so wide though screams Benchmade.
BTW Benchmade is probably the finest folding knife maker in the world. they're pricey, but man are they worth it!!

I never handled that particular knife but I have heard good things about it.
One of my favorite knives is the Gerber Silver Trident or that old dog of war the Ka-bar

Yeah i bought that knife after i took my first survival school with Tom Brown
woohooo those things are fun
Never thought i'd be able to track and stalk ppl so silently
I am invisible in the woods :-p
o that is a beauty -- yeah GREAT knives are expensive -- that tracker blade is 300$ but if you take the survival TRACKING classes - its 250$

Sounds great, I've taken some classes my self not that price range but I think they were worth it. I believe Brown is doing something with the boy scouts right now? I don’t know.

bah - he may be
but its mostly adults
yeah these are the very BEST classes -- no others can compare in the amount you learn and the skills you posses when leaving
Most classes are up in Jersey but he's coming down south to Florida everglades to have some others -- really worht it all

I've looked at Benchmades but they all seem to have the pocket clip mounted centrally.
The one in the pic is offset....

I'd say it's not the S&W Swat folder, just because of the distinctive shape of the wide clip in the picture. The SWAT series attaches the clip right at the blade pivot and it's noticeable narrower than the one in the picture.
He could always have broken the old one and replaced it though. It looks pretty beat up, so that could have happened.
