With Adrock, M.C.A., and me - Mike D.
Been had a little horsy named Paul Revere
Just me and my horsy and a quart of beer
Riding across the land, kicking up sand
Sheriff's posse on my tail cause I'm in demand
One lonely Beastie I be
All by myself without nobody
The sun is beating down on my baseball hat
The air is gettin' hot the beer is getting flat
Lookin' for a girl I ran into a guy
His name is M.C.A., I said, "Howdy" he said, "Hi"

Yeah...me too. Suoer big fan...I have spent the last decade looking for underground tracks and imports of theirs. Some of them are better than the mass market stuff...

First time I ever saw them in concert was with Run DMC. :)

Mmm. Beastie Boys :P

I'm still really enjoying the thought of meeting them in Ruisrock in 1998. They're the only band I*ve really been a real fan. (well Rammstein maybe  )

Anyway, seems these guys stay kids forever and keep on rockin.

Hmm, maybe it's time to listen to some good ole tracks from check your head ;)

After shooting, I listen to the B-Boys while cleaning guns...part of the ritual, I have burned to the best of my knowledge every song they have done (minus live tracks) to my MP3 playlist and simply hit "random".

Which I guess smacks of irony considering how pro-gun control they are...

during the '86 tour, riding the inflatable ...

There are a lot of really good French imports. I first listened to a demo tape while on vacation in FL back in '84 and liked it; waited weeks until 'Licensed to Ill' was released. That's also how I got familiar with drummer Kate Schellenbach and Luscious Jackson, a bit mellow and feminist compared to the 'ole ****e on Pollywog Stew ..
;)

"Because I Saw Ya At The Check Out Line
You Dropped Your Coupons And You Were Looking Fine
Sophisicated, And So Mature
I Couldn't Really Care If You're 50 Or 74
Becaues I Want Ya, And I Need Ya
Hey Boomin' Granny You Could Be My Teacher
And I Could Be Your Pet, Bet
Listen Old Lady I'm Gonna Make Ya Sweat"

Which I guess smacks of irony considering how pro-gun control they are...
I hear ya. Pro Gun, Pro Bush,Tibet, Kyoto ..

One of the cool things about the B-Boys is how I learned about huge number of different bands through them. All of whom I still listen to today at some level or another.

Kate Schellenbach
Lucious Jackson

Through Kathleen Hannah
Le Tigre
Bikini Kill
The Need

LL Cool J

Through Miho Hartori...
Cibo Matto
The Pillows
Adenosine Tri-Phosphate
And a slew of other "Japanese Garage Bands"

DJ Shadow

Half the bands that Russell Simmons produced under Def Jam

Public Enemy

Fishbone

Rollins

Black Flag

A must: Hip Hop 101

I caught this Fatboy Slim show at the Mayan years back and he spun the most amazing Intergalactic mix in a pseudo junglistic style with sped up Beastie vocals; similar to the 'Prisoners of Technology' remix. - The Boys didn't like it and it never got released ..

Check out the triple lindy (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/dontstop.php) remix ..
