LONDON (*******) - Police say they have launched a hunt for thieves who stole a 5 foot tall model of friendly green ogre Shrek -- star of the blockbuster animated movie.
Two youths made off with the model, worth 500 pounds, from a fancy dress shop in Great Barr, near Birmingham, after throwing bricks through the window.
"If anyone has seen Shrek, been offered it for sale or has any information they should contact officers," West Midlands police said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Shrek 2", the sequel about the ogre and his princess bride, has been a smash box office hit, pulling in $418 million in North America alone.
