Does anyone happen to have any pictures of people using any of the Energizer Hard case lights? I personally use the helmet light all the time, and I love it. But I dont have a camera atm.

I'm really interested about these. I have a hatred for the surefire helmet lights. Batteries run dry very quickly when white lighting. I do think Energizer is gonna need to come down on that price.

You can get them from a few places.
1. Tactical Tailor
2. Ranger Joes
3. US Cav
I think the price is pretty fair on it. A lot Cheaper than surefire. So many more features not to mention for the price of the Energizer light I get the Helmet mount as well as the molle mount. Where as with Surefire I had to pay an extra $30 for the molle mount. Can't Complain though runs of AA's

I think Streamlight's new SideWinder C4 is better comparison to SF's Helmet light because they both run on CR123 and Streamlight's has more output.

I guess this that depends on what your opinion of "a lot" is. Seems to run about the same price. As for batteries, it shouldn't matter much as batteries are free for military folks and AA and 123s are all over the place in the military. It comes with a molle mount? Just how am I gonna use it to lighten what I'm looking at if it's attached to my chest? I need it looking at what I'm looking at. And lastly, more features? Yeah, it has one more option for power (4 instead of 3 like the surefire) and an IR lamp. The IR lamp is basically useless. You can use your IR intensefier (sp) on your nods that completly negates the need for this feature.
I hate the surefire and I'm looking for a better option but the Energizer fails at that.

I like streamlights. I've used them for 9 years on my pistols. I've seen these for sale and I think they are neat but I'm gonna pass. I'm just hoping for a light that is bright that I can attach to my helmet. Right now, I'm running a Surefire Helmet light (sucks) a M3 on my pistol (it's ok, and bright but I can't use it hands free like a helmet light), a M3 on my rifle (great) and a tikka headlamp that I stuff into my cargo pocket that I use to clear my crew served weapons because by helmet light by surefire light blows. I really need an affordable helmet might with less feeatures that works bright for a longer time. I have a feeling it's gonna many more years until I get something that makes me happy. I'm hard to please, I guess.

Yeah maybe if you wanna put a brick on the side of your head.
As for the molle mount, uhm I don't know if you realize that it moves up and down for you to angle it in any way you choose to. The IR lamp is not useless it is actually very bright. Have you actually used it with a set of night vision? The IFF is definitely not useless, unless you don't want pilots in the air to know where you are. Again I dont understand everyones fascination with the CR123 batteries. They are expensive as hell and not as easy to come by over seas as everyone thinks. Not to mention that the Army has put out a memo saying that any new light that is produced now will not be approved if it is running on 123's.

Are you familiar with Zebralight brand? They are super small, single multi level LED that run on single battery. Several different models available. The only thing is that they don't have a dedicated attachment for helmets, but you can attach them with a headband.

The reason CR123 will remain a preferred choice in flashlight industry is because there are not many other options for makers. Military wants bright lights but AAs are not as efficient nor do they perform well in cold environments. It's hard to believe that the military will no longer approve CR123 lights especially that SF has a strong "lobby" on mil lights. :)

Actually its the other way around concerning cold weather. The CR123 actually loose 75% of its efficiency in cold weather, where as a lithium battery will not be affected. Not to mention the 123's isn't always consistent in its charge. I agree surefire is a great brand but until they find another power source that is universal and widely available I don't think they are going to continue to have a "lobby" on universal lights. The army isn't to fond of the CR123, because it is so costly and hard to find.
