Try some Krylon camo spray paint in tan and brown or the Rustoleum line.

well, what I can tell you that rit dye does work pretty well. The only complaints that I have is that, I could only find dark brown color and I left it in the bucket too long. it dyed it darker then what I wanted it. Those are my mistakes. I left it in the bucket for about 45 mins but, kept taking it out and turning it over about every 5 mins.

Anyways, I left my molle pouch in hot water with the dye and it turned out fine. It didn't melt the fabric nor the plastic buckle. Everything seems okay on it. It still has acouple of dark brown streaks because of the original color. Incase you're wondering, it was a molle 100 round saw pouch that was originally desert camo.

I wouldn't know how long you'd need to dye it for to get to coyote brown. I don't know if that is even possible.

My guess is to buy a piece of molle gear or pouch that is cheap and just experiment. That's what I did with mine.
