When/if my parents can't take support of themselves, or my wife's parents, we would take them into our home. I actually don't personally know any elderly people at all (70+) who live in a home, but apparently a lot of people send their family there.

I'd let my parents live in my house (once we all get to that point), I mean they sheltered and fed me for the first part of my life that I might as well as repay them.

Yeah but they have to abide by my rules:
No wild parties while I'm at work, and stay outta my booze!

I would totally take my parents in. They've done way to much for me, I couldn't just send them to some home.

I would, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Sure, they took care of us when we were kids, but now we're all adults. Privacy issues would be a point of argument....

I would. However, as my sister is older, it is technically her obligation. *wink*
Seriously, both my parents are so independent and active as it is, they would probably refuse. My grandparents refuse to leave their house, and it will probably be like that until the end.

My mom could stay in the house. I'd even share a bedroom with her if it was neccessary. My (step)dad could bunk in the storage space in the basement.

Mine are going to the crooked old folks home - I'm trading them in for a shiny Quarter.

Only if I had a hot milf step-mom. My father would sleep in the garage like a focking animal while I banged his hot wife in my luxurious rambler-style home. It would be just like that movie.

I will be taking care of my parents most likely. (I'm in no way bragging about the following) It won't be that bad, actually, as I'll most likely own a house which is large enough and have enough money to finance them. I am the youngest in my family, BTW.
EDIT: And depending on the situation (with my parents), I would also be taking care of the wife's parents (depending on their situation also). That's love, I guess. ;)

I agree but fair being fair, considering I never stayed outta my parents booze, they could have free run of mine .... well except the good stuff anyway.

This is way Poles behave, but things changes quickly after dramatical change of style of life... Parents ussualy stay at children home if they can't manage theirselfs any more... My parents have deal with grandma that when she'll reach 80s she will move to us, one year left, and my grandma cooks better than my mom so :)...As for children we Poles also stay at homes for wery long time, I have 23 and still live with parents...Its almost impossible for young people to study and earn for a decent place esspecialy I live in my academic city so there wasn't any urgent need to move out and for that reason I haven't realy chances to ge hostel... I'm in progres of changing that state but it will take few more years :) ....

Yes.
Now whether they want to live with me . . .
My parents are retired and old enough to not give dam what people think.
So they pretty much raise hell in whatever manner they want. They grew up somewhat rough, and not sheltered at all, so some of the fuddy duddys their age are a real laugh to them. Most of the 'rule book' went out the window years ago.
Is housing difficult to come by in Poland? Expensive?

Yes it is expensive for our standards... Esspecialy if you don't own apartment and don't have time for full time work and you are alone... renting Flat in my city cost 800zł+media(with is nothing when compared to NYC prices 2000$ per one room flat :cantbeli: ), you of course can rent flat with mates, or one room at stantion, but I have greater standard at home for free :) ...

Right now... hell no.
When we're older, maybe... but only if it was really necessary.
