Will it take an admin pouch in the middle above the mags? Also, will it connect to a belt? Any other suggestions on what other pouches to get for it? I was thinking an admin pouch in the middle, a dump pouch on the left back, a buttpack on the back and a survival kit on the right hip. What should I put on the shoulders?

Whats gonna be your task? Killing Talibans or shooting tin cans in your backyard?

Whatever pouches you put on, make sure you have Blood Diamond Pants

Well since I'm a civilian. I'll keep my magazines in the pant pockets and PBR tall boys on the chest rig. At the ready at all times. GTG.

Check out some admin pouches an find out their size. But yes you can attach an Admin pouch an any other MOLLE pouch on PALS webbing...

Also, will it connect to a belt?

Don't connect this to a belt, its not even meant for that an it will only hinder you if you did some how attach it to a belt.

What the f*ck.. how you set up your pouches an what pouches you get is up to you as you are the only one who knows what you want, plus you will be the one wearing it.

Do some research on this rig, and other rigs, read reviews than do the trial an error an using different pouches, etc untill you have a setup that works for you.

Also, don't hotlink to another website. Use a photo uploading site like imageshack or just post the link to the webpage that has the chest rig on it.

For a rig like that half the works already been done for you, all you will need is 2 or 3 small admin pouches and something to hold a couple of water bottles or a bladder. Think about what your going to carry and apply KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid. For instance do you really need to have a survival kit? :|

Keep the pouches to a minimum, throw stuff that you need to get to quickly up on your shoulders (tourniquet, flexi-cuffs) I also kept a climbing carabiner weaved through a few loops with the opening facing out, easy storage, and in a grind some one can tie you off and pull you to safety. Biggest thing is getting your mags where they are comfortably excessable.

It's usually best to set your gear up to meet your needs, rather than just slapping on pouches simply because there's more MOLLE.

After you have some experience doing whatever it is you do with that rig you will figure out where to put your stuff on it. I like the age old trick of putting things in my pockets. It's cheaper and I already have them.

Leave the shoulders free of stuff, you need it for your rifle stock. both right and left!

buttpacks aren't easy to get to when you're wearing the rig

maybe a hydration carrier for a camelback, and an admin pouch for extra batteries, weapon lube, ect...

like others have said, it's up to you where the pouches are placed; whatever makes getting that gear the most efficient for you.

If this is the rig I think it is, I hope your a large fellow. I have one like this. I'm 5'8" and 145 lbs. I had to do some heavy mods to get it to fit me. This rig is made for a large frame person.
The back panel already has a pouch for a water bladder.

try Diamondback Tactical....they have great stuff at a very reasonable price.

I use their admin pouch on my rig and it works well keeping pens, paper and small stuff plus a small flash light pouch.

I would add a few pistol mag pouch on the left and maybe a double dual cell M4 magazine pouch on the right to double as supplemental magazine when you run out of the 6 in your rig.

Dump pouch is a must, but i ran my pouch off my belt. also you need a first aide kit.

Hydration carrier in the back is another great idea. you need to keep hydrated.

outside of those items, you are pretty much left to your own device. you might add another flash light pouch and maybe a knife sheath off the side

I hate loading things on the shoulder strap, that I keep free since the butt stock rest on it.

Who makes the rig?

Make a list of all you NEED to carry (1-4 mags, IFAK +).
Buy pouches for that.
Stuff the rest of your crap in the backpack.

Hey man, be careful, you're going to ruin these kids' illusions with the common sense. I mean hell, the next thing you're probably going to tell them is Santa's not real.......................

You're right, my apologies. More pouches and various accouterments = more high speed. Gear makes the commando, not the man.

I've found the only good thing mag pouches are good for are holding any beverage of your choice.

Imagine my surprise when I was off strolling around Southern Afghanistan bird watching when BAM I'm being shot at, nobody tells me nuttin`...

But yeah, stupid thread is stupid. This bloke is making the biggest lid/boot/wanker mistake, trying to make a rig look cool by adding more random pouches to it is a big mistake, the more pouches you have the more stupid crap you'll stuff in to them. Need to know exactly what kit you are to carry before even putting one together, whacking on random pistol mag pouches when you don't even have a pistol, putting on a hydration cover when you don't have a bladder, smoke grenade pouches when you aren't carrying smoke... yep, seen it all.

One day when you're doing it for real and stomping around you'll realise things get heavy and whatever you can streamline from your kit, you'll do it quickly and it's amazing what you find out that you don't need on your first couple of patrols, for example that MASSIVE knife that blokes tend to strap on their rigs all the time, yep, cut that **** away.

If you chuck a dump pouch on your rig because you have seen a picture of a SEAL with one, that's stupid. I know guys that simply leave a pocket un-zipped on their pants, which is the same thing, also an Admin pouch? Are you a Platoon Sig, or a Section Commander? What happend to having a waterproof notebook/pen/pencil in your pocket? People still use pockets these days, doesn't all have to be on show.

What Goldfish said, Keep It Simple Stupid.

Oh yeah and "Duties" doesn't explain what you're going to be using this rig for and if someone rocked up to my Carbine class looking like a Navy Seal/Delta etc I'd laugh at him, unless of course he actually WAS one of the aforementioned people.

As a matter of fact you are wrong. The true measure of an operator is not his kit but his beard. A long full beard is what seperates normal SOF from OMG WTF TEIR 1 OPERATORZ!!!oneone
