I don't care who you are I would be embarrassed grading myself publicly. Talk about ego.

Clearly, the man is overly enamored of himself, painfully ignorant of his lack of the critical faculty. It is like watching a grotesque and poorly performed display of exhibition wrestling.

Professor Obama is a victim of self-induced grade inflation.

A fair grade, I'd say.
While we are on the topic of egotistical, self-inflated grades, here are a few more:
Tiger Woods had rated his marriage so far a B+.
Titanic's maiden cruise? Good, solid B+.
Death Star's thermal exhaust port engineering team? Just under a A-, I'd say.
Hans Gruber's English-Tailored gravity-reversing levitation suit? Certainly above a B, but not quite an A.

B+ is a pretty subjective rating isn't it?
What do you want him to say?
I think he got handed a full plate and is doing OK so far.
I dont agree with everything every President says, but I support the guy.

Obama did look mildly embarrassed by such a question but on national televison he could hardly dodge the question. Hard question when the topic is raised or if a reporter asks. You can't say A because that's too high and a C would be too low. Nobody's perfect, but he has to show some confidence in his own leadership.
Bear in mind however Obama has kept far more promises than he's broken (so far):

But "ego"? Remember, the last guy couldn't think of single thing he'd done wrong or would do differently...that's tantamount to an A++

.
All presidents get handed a full plate. Bush had a war nobody knew about, a recession and multiple bubbles about to burst. Just saying, because I don't recall that excuse going very far for him. In fact, I'd say most president get handed a poop sandwich or two upon taking the office.

Can you explain why policies that were supposedly enormously unpopular under Bush are suddenly acceptable under Obama? Wiretaps come to mind.

Right, but very few gets two mismanaged wars, the worst recession in decades, biggest deficit, a former vice president who just can't shut up, a group of people wishing the president to fail, etc...all at the same time. Can you name one?

No, but Bush got 1 mismanaged war that nobody even knew about. The 9/11 commission concluded we were at war after we left Somalia, but Clinton largely ignored it.
the worst recession in decadesYou realize its policies Obama pushed that lead to the housing loan crisis? Also, it was a recession that Bush inherited as well. It just lasted most of the 8 years and really went to hell in 2008. Which also happens to be 2 years after Democrats took congress.
biggest deficitBush inherited a $1B deficit. (http://www.craigsteiner.us/articles/16) Obama inherited an even bigger deficit and added another few trillion to it in his first couple months. At this point, the excuses are wearing thin.
a former vice president who just can't shut upAl Gore, Hillary and Bill made a point to trash Bush from over seas for that entire 8 years. The media has a very short memory when it comes to that sort of thing though.
I'd post some video, but they're all mysteriously missing from youtube.
EDIT: here is one:

a group of people wishing the president to fail, etc...all at the same time. Can you name one?Are people's memories REALLY this short? Bush had violent protests at his 2001 inauguration! The MSM was calling him "selected not elected", up untill 9/11. He got a short reprieve after that, but it didn't last long.
So again, Obama is not special. You only think he is because the media treats him like a perpetual victim.

Nope. Honestly do I have to? Individual promises are discussed in the links, if that's one of them it may be there. Happy hunting.

Funny. Let's play a thought experiment and assume that he never answered the question. You'd still have your "down-with-Hussein" group all over the case wouldn't you?
"Oh boy did the sheeps vote for a president that hasn't even got the guts to grade himself on how he's done. So much for confidence and hope."
amirite?
Now, in any case, he hasn't really fcuked anything so far, so a B+ seems reasonable.

The jury's decision on Bush was in before he was even sworn.

Well thats more polite/political than a "gimme" B+.
I mean honestly, I'm no big fan of the man, but I wouldn't expect our President to stoop to actually answering that question with anything other than a pithy platitude and move on to the next question.

100% agree.
Obama is caught up by several factors, one is he has surrounded himself with "yes men".
Additionally he has fallen prey to the "inside the beltway" mentality, as has Kay Bailey Hutchinson, and 98% of the other ninnies up there. They see things thru rose colored glasses of wealth, priviledge and prospertiy....cocktail parties, expensive clothing, limos, servants & handmaidens.
America needs some people (in charge) who know what is like on the dark city streets at night at 3AM.

Haven't we seen enough politicians cruising public restrooms?
Hell, I'll settle for one that doesn't cheat on their spouse, goes to church regularly and supports fiscal responsibility.

ha ha. i mean like Teddy Roosevelt, etc. I would settle for one who supports fiscal repsonsiblity, and knows when to commit troops. I don't give a damn about church or their marriage, nor a thousand other things.

I certainly did not care for all of our past presidents, but I never got on the Bush-bashing train even though it certainly was popular.
Back in '03 Bush was the QB, he was elected, he had the info and he called the plays and we were supposed to follow them.
That's how it works.
I could have done my very best to throw a wrench into his entire operation at every opportunity, or I could have done my best to support a guy who had a tough job.
I took the second approach and I just wish more people could give Obama a real chance as oppossed to resisting and criticizing every little thing he says and does....and then in the end say *see I told you he couldn't accomplish anything*
If I can give Obama's predecessor the benefit of the doubt and, at the very least out of respect for the office, withhold my sharpest criticism for the better good, then I can't see why other people refuse to do the same now that the shoes is on the other foot.
Of course, its a free country and everyone is entitled to disagree with the policies of our elected leaders, but what happened to all the *love -it-or-leave-it*, *shut-up-hippy-I-know-whats-good-for-the-country* talk everyone was so fond of a few years back?
