Have any of you tried these out? I'm wondering what people think of these, versus the red reticle. Some folks put tape over the red fiber optic because the reticle has some blooming on a sunny day; I personally didn't feel the need to do this, but was wondering how the green compared in regard to brightness, and the ability to get a quick sight picture.

I figured that had something to do with it, being that green lasers have been getting some attention lately.

Does green have the same effect on the eyes as red in night-time conditions (Not damaging one's night vision)? I know its somewhat off topic but I'm curious now.

Not first hand, not from me, but certainly a very good article, IMO worth the read: Trijicon ACOG TA11GH First Look (http://demigodllc.com/articles/first-look-trijicon-ta11-green-horse-shoe-dot/)

...hope it helps.

Green kills your night vision. As been said green is the color that you see most easily, which is why you have green light in for example NVGs. More trivia: red light does not kill your night vision but is the most detectable light in NVGs. Blue on the other hand is the most damaging light to your night vision but the hardest to detect with NVGs.
