Hey, I collect Vietnam Era items and I have a T10 Parachute with 15ft static line, reserve and rig. I'm going to buy an M1950 weapon case, WIEC, M1C paratrooper helmet and an aviator kit bag to complete it. I know that if your WIEC is heavy or you're jumping with a ruck you'd have a 15ft lower lines for them but I can't find any information on them. Anyone know if they had model numbers or explain how to attach and release them?

Also the "H" harness for bundling a ruck or kit bag to you, is it just a normal webgear "H" harness without the pistol belt? Thanks for any help.

The H harness is not a LCE or a rack of some sort.

Awesome, now I know I need a Harness, Single Point Release and a lowering line. Anyone off hand know where I can pick one up? Might have to sit and watch on ebay.

It's easy to find them--just join up, go Airborne and then police up the drop zone after a battalion night jump. There's all kinds of stuff out there the next day. Make friends with some riggers (I know, it's a sacrifice you'll have to make) and you can get plenty, too.

Then again, with the new chutes being fielded, T10 parts might become easy to find on the surplus market.

Good thinking Tahoe. I'll just have to keep an eye out for surplus T-10 stuff. But if anyone happens to have what I need that would speed up the process haha.

Back when I was a private and I had to do chute shakedown was when I got all my excess air items.

If you want VN era air items Harness Single Point Release is not correct. It didn't start to show up until late 80s.
